Soroptimist International of Singapore (Garden City) bring cheer, comfort and solace to the less fortunate. We will in fact step up our effort because of the economic gloom, by increasing our bursary awards and offering help to the physically challenged, the elderly, single mothers, etc. We  invite women who share our ideals to join us in our quest for they will be rewarded with the satisfaction of bringing happiness to those in need and also be part of a wide network of local, and international contacts among the 125 countries in the world.

Through Awareness, Advocacy and Action, the Objectives of Soroptimist International shall be to strive for:

• advancement of the status of women　

• high ethical standards　

• human rights for all　

• equality, development and peace - through International Goodwill Understanding and Friendship

Soroptimist International is committed to :

• service to local national and international communities;

• active participation in decision-making at all levels of society

Some of the international service projects executed include :

• provided safe well-water for many villages in Senegal

• financed an integrated training programme for women in highland village in Peru

• raised funds to build clinics for children in Bangladesh

• provided funds for training programmes and income generating opportunities as alternatives to the commercial sex industry for women and girls in Northern Thai villages.
